Ao no Honoo
Translated “The Blue Light”, this Japanese movie tells the story of a teenager who sins in order to save. It has an emotional impact on the viewer moving with its original and realistic story, delicate topic, complicated and turnabout situations, as well as its touching and dramatic ending. It’s a deep movie, making you interested in trying to understand the character, reflect on the theme, consider your own actions and personality, and inevitably saddening you for the next 6 hours or so. (personal experience: I have watched the movie two times in the last 72 hours.) Deep film with a deep character and also a deep actor: Ninomiya Kazunari (my reason for watching this movie). I honestly think that this role fits him like a glove, taking in consideration his past and his amazing acting skills. During the movie he becomes one and the same with his character, portraying him perfectly.
